| A: It is always our goal to give you a top-quality curriculum. We understand that while Elevate goes through a rigorous editing process, with many proof-readers, sometimes textual mistakes slip by. | What software do I need to use the Elevate art included in my Base-pack? |
| A: All you will need is Adobe Reader that you can download free here. You can also use Adobe Photoshop. This software is not essential, but it is the best way to use the visual resources provided. There is a software training resource site for those who need to learn the basics: http://lynda.com/. Both software are available on Mac or PC. |
|
| Downloading questions (What version Adobe do I need, what is Adobe, can I download mp3s, etc.) |
| A: All PDF files in the base-pack are formatted to open with Adobe 5 or higher. Adobe Acrobat Reader is free software that lets you view and print PDF files, such as message transcripts. Most likely, the software is already installed on your computer, but you can download it for free here. |

| Is it possible to have access to the MPEG files so I can use Elevate in Media Shout? |
A: For two reasons we will not provide the MPEG files that are needed to run Elevate in Media Shout. The first is security. The MPEG files are not nearly as secure as the Elevate DVDs. Soft copies of media, such as music MP3%u2019s, are much easier to copy and send to others than the DVDs. Also, the MPEG files would be much easier to alter. The second reason is cost effectiveness. The DVDs that come with an Elevate base pack contain over 8GB of data so putting them on ElevateKids.com or CreativePastors.com to download would not be an efficient use of server space or bandwidth for us. Also, every time we replicate a single Elevate DVD, we must make a run of at least 1000 copies and there is not a demand for us to replicate a disc that contains all of the MPEG files. We do know that the latest version of Media Shout will play DVDs from your computer%u2019s DVD player. How effective it is, we do not know. For assistance with that, you will need to contact Media Shout directly. |
